League Rules:
- Skips are responsible for marking on the draw sheet the wins and ties.
- We will play 3 rounds for the season.
- Round 1: 12 team round robin play
- Round 2: Round robin of two groups of 6 teams each (A and B) based on Round 1 results
- Round 3: Round robin of re-seeded A and B. From round 2, maximum top 2 teams of B switch with the bottom 2 teams of A where B has earned more money.
- Dollars are accumulated for all rounds to determine the top 2 teams in A and B for the playoffs.
- Games are maximum 8 ends, except when buzzer sounds. At the buzzer complete the end in progress and complete one more end. If the first rock of an end is in play when the buzzer sounds, only complete that end.
- The skip canceling a game is responsible for contacting the opposition skip and to reschedule or forfeit the game. Ice times are from Vic Sager.
- Teams can play with a maximum of 2 spares (outside of a base 5 person roster). Spares must play lead and second.
- Teams that are more than 15 minutes later than the designated start time forfeit first end, last rock to the opposition.
- Four rock rule applies. See the bulletin board for the rule description.
- Planned prize money is earned per team as follows:
- Round 1 = $5 per win (50% for tie) x 11 games = $330 total
- Round 2 = $10 per win (50% for tie) x 5 games = $300 total
- Round 3 = $12 per win (50% for tie) x 5 games = $360 total
- Playoffs = Winner A & B get $108 each. Runner ups and other winners get $15 each.
- Note: Budget is 20% of 12 teams x $540 = $1296. Any adjustment from budget will be from the playoffs.
- Actual late draw start time depends on when the ice is nipped. Wait for Vic to give the okay to proceed to the ice. Plan is for 9 pm, sound be until 9:15 pm if the early draw goes to 9 pm. Nipping gives 4th end ice at the start of the game, so it is worth the wait.
- Enjoy the game and meeting new friends!
