Shannon Kleibrink  Bronze Medal  Shannon Kleibrink

Two levels of play (beginner, intermediate/advanced) will be offered with professional instruction and organization offered by Olympic Bronze Medalist Shannon Kleibrink.

Times:
• Beginner – 4 to 5:15 pm for ages 7 & up – Learn to curl, rules, scoring, stations, skills based play and
  fun galore!
• Intermediate/Advanced – 4 to 6 pm for players of all ages that have started to develop their skills.
They will be taught rules, strategy, games and of course encouraged to have fun!

Cost:
• $45 for begginers (have never played before)
• $75 for intermediate & advanced (returning or experienced players)

Equipment Requirements:
• Brooms. Having their own is great but the club has brooms that beginners can use so don't run out
and buy one until you're sure they like the game.
• Sliders. Again, having their own is great but the club also has sliders that can be borrowed.
• Actual curling shoes are recommended for advanced level players but not mandatory.
• A second pair of indoor shoes MUST be used for curling. NO STREET SHOES will be allowed on the
  ice.
• Warm, stretchy pants are highly recommended. Jeans can be very restrictive so aren't recommended.
• Gloves, mitts and even toques can also be worn.

Benefits:
• Minimal registration fees, fun nights, skill sessions & wind-up night
• Professional instruction by qualified coaches & instructors

Hopeful future events to include:
• Junior bonspiels
• Formation of a Junior Superleague with teams from around Southern Alberta and Cash Prizes paid
out for every game played, amounts to be determined and paid out at the end of the season banquet
• Possible guest appearances and instruction by world class curlers from around Southern Alberta and
  the World
